Danilo Radunovic, MD, nephrology specialist, was born in Cetinje, Montenegro, finished elementary school and high school in Podgorica. Graduated at the Medical School of the University of Montenegro. He completed postgraduate specialist studies in nephrology at the Faculty of medicine, University of Zagreb.
He worked as a clinical physician at the Nephrology Clinic of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, then as a resident at the same clinic.
He completed his specialization in nephrology at the Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb, Croatia at the Institute of nephrology, arterial hypertension, dialysis and transplantation.
He currently works at the Nephrology Clinic of the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
He is a teaching assistant in the Internal Medicine course at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro.
He is a member of ERA EDTA – the European Association for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation, and a member of the YNP – platform of young nephrologists within ERA EDTA as a national representative, is a member of ESOT – European Association for Organ Transplantation, member of several working groups within the framework of ERA EDTA. He is a member of ESH – the European Association for Hypertension. He is a member of Croatian Nephrology Association, also a member of the Croatian Society for Hypertension and the Croatian Society for artificial organs and organ replacement therapy.
He is a member of the commission for therapy of rare diseases in Montenegro and a member of the national commission for organ transplantation in Montenegro.
He attended numerous educational programs in the country and abroad.
He is the author and co-author of papers in the field of nephrology, kidney transplantation, dialysis, AKI, chronic renal failure and complications.
He was a lecturer at numerous congresses and meetings of regional and international significance.
He was a participant in several projects, among which was the project of forming and opening a laboratory for HLA typing in Montenegro.
