Professor Rukiye Kübra Kaynar is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Faculty of Medicine, Trabzon, Turkey. She has been a member of the KTU medical faculty since 1995, progressing through academic ranks from Research Assistant to Full Professor in 2013.

Dr. Kaynar received her medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1994) and completed her specialization in Internal Medicine (2000) and postdoctoral training in Nephrology (2004) at Karadeniz Technical University. Her doctoral research focused on the effects of losartan and amlodipine on cytokine production in human mononuclear cells, reflecting her enduring interest in inflammation, renal physiology, and hypertension.

Her teaching and research span the fields of acute and chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, diabetic nephropathy, tubulointerstitial nephritis, and pregnancy-related renal disorders. As an educator, she has designed and delivered numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses on nephrology and internal medicine, emphasizing clinical reasoning and patient-centered care.

Dr. Kaynar has participated in a wide range of advanced professional courses and certifications in nephropathology, renal transplantation pathology, peritoneal dialysis, biostatistics, and medical education methodology, including programs accredited by WHO and the University of Groningen.

A dedicated clinician, researcher, and mentor, Professor Kaynar continues to contribute to advancing nephrology education and clinical excellence in Turkey, with a focus on evidence-based renal medicine and academic leadership in internal medicine.
